Realkreditobligationer (RO), skibskreditobligationer (SO), særligt dækkede obligationer (SDO) and særligt dækkede realkreditobligationer (SDRO) all constitute covered bonds. The following credit institutions are permitted to issue one or more types of covered bonds:
- Realkredit Denmark A/S (RO, SDO & SDRO)
- Nordea Kredit Realkreditaktieselskab (RO, SDO & SDRO)
- Nykredit Realkredit A/S (RO, SDO & SDRO)
- DLR Kredit A/S (RO & SDO)
- Jyske Realkredit A/S (RO & SDO)
- Danske Bank A/S (SDO)
- Danmarks Skibskredit A/S (SO & SDO)
Realkreditobligationer (RO) and skibskreditobligationer (SO) are eligible to bear the label "European Covered Bond", while særligt dækkede obligationer (SDO) and særligt dækkede realkreditobligationer (SDRO) are eligible to bear the label “European Covered Bond (Premium)”, in accordance with Article 27 of the Covered bonds directive (EU 2019 /2162). The Danish FSA keeps an electronic register of every single SDO/SDRO issue, which is based on the issuer's report to the Danish FSA.
