Executive Board of the Danish FSA

Louise Caroline Mogensen, Director General 

Louise Mogensen joined the Danish FSA as Director General in September 2023. From 2016 to 2023 she was the CEO of Forenet Kredit, a mortgage credit association. 

Previously, Louise Mogensen has among others held positions as Deputy Chief Executive of the Danish Bankers Association, Head of Division in the Ministry of Business and Growth, and for 12 years she worked at the Danish Central Bank.

Louise Mogensen is Master of Science in Economics from the University of Copenhagen.

Kristian Vie Madsen, Deputy Director General 

Kristian Vie Madsen was appointed Deputy Director General in 2011. He is responsible for the supervision of banks, mortgage credit institutions, computer services, economic statistics, international market contact, funding, liquidity and SIFI analysis.  

From 2007-2011 Kristian Vie Madsen served as Director at the FSA, and from 2005-2007 he held a position as Director at Danish Ministry of Business and Growth. 

Kristian Vie Madsen is MSc in Mathematics-Economics from Aarhus University.

Mette Tams Kitaj

Mette Tams Kitaj

Mette Tams Kitaj was appointed Deputy Director General in October 2025. She is responsible for capital market analysis, bank resolution, operational resilience, investor protection, consumer protection, IT security, ESG and sustainability, budget management, and organisational development.

Mette Tams Kitaj has previously worked at Nykredit Realkredit from 2021 to 2025 and at the Ministry of Industry, Business, and Financial Affairs from 2010 to 2021. She is MSc in Economics and Management from Aarhus University.

Carsten Brogaard, Deputy Director General

Carsten Brogaard was appointed Deputy Director General in January 2018. He is responsible for the supervision of life assurance, pension funds and general insurance and reassurance.   

Carsten Brogaard joined the Danish FSA in 2011 as Director of the Division of Supervision of Labour Market Pension Funds regulated under Solvency II and Company Pension Funds regulated under the IORP directive.  

He has previously worked in the Nordea Group, the Ministry of Economic and Business Affairs, the Ministry of Finance and the Prime Minister´s office. Carsten Brogaard is MSc in Economics and Management from Aarhus University.

Rigmor Ansdal

Rigmor Ansdal was appointed Deputy Director General in October 2025. She is responsible for the super-vision of payments, financial technology, financial crime and anti-money laundering, capital market regu-lation, legal affairs, legislative work, EU matters, ministerial services, communication, and executive support.

Rigmor Ansdal has previously worked at GF Forsikring.  From 2014 to 2023, she worked at the Danish FSA, including as Head of the Legal Division. She has also worked at Danske Bank and as a lawyer. Rigmor Ansdal is LL.M. from the University of Copenhagen.
