Warning against fraudulent use of the name and license of IWC Investment Partners A/S

The Danish Financial Supervisory Authority (FSA) warns the public against the fraudulent use of the name IWC Investment Partners A/S and its license.

It has come to the attention of the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority (FSA) that individuals falsely claim to belong to IWC Investment Partners A/S and make fraudulent use of the names and license of this firm. These individuals contact consumers offering cryptocurrency (e.g. bitcoins or IWC coins) and/or portfolio management.

The individuals impersonate IWC Investment Partners A/S by claiming to be affiliated with the firm and by referring to a fake website such as https://www.iwcinvestment.com and https://www.uwinvestments.com/en_US/. These websites wrongly display a license obtained through for example the Danish FSA.

IWC Investment and UW Investment including their fake website must not be confused with IWC Investment Partners A/S and its website https://www.iwc.dk/. IWC Investment Partners A/S has been granted authorisation as a manager of alternative investment funds by the Danish FSA, and the firm is not affiliated with IWC Investments and UW Investment or the fake websites.

The Danish FSA strongly advice against responding to any offer of financial instruments or services made by these individuals and against transferring money to any account number these individuals might mention. Also, the Danish FSA recommends that investors do not communicate with these individuals.
