Investment associations, etc.

The Division supervises and performs on-site inspections at:

• Investment associations
• Special-purpose associations
• Hedge associations 
• Restricted associations
• Investment management companies.

 

The Division is also responsible for:

• Registering professional associations
• Authorisation of marketing activities by foreign investment undertakings in Denmark.

 

The Division is responsible for preparing new legislation and executive orders within its area. In 2011, this includes:

• Proposals for a new Investment Associations, etc. Act
• Working group on the advantages and disadvantages of introducing alternatives for the associations structure in the UCITS area
• New legislation for implementation of the Directive on Alternative Investment Fund Managers 
• Executive orders in relation to the Investment Associations etc. Act.

 

At international level, the Division participates in meetings on collective investment schemes and collective investment management, including meetings in the ESMA subgroups.
