Warning against Danica Bank and Dansk Realkredit

WARNING

The Danish Financial Supervisory Authority's (FSA) attention has been directed towards Danica Bank. Through Danica Banks website www.danicabank.dk Danica Bank offers credit institution activities without the proper license according to the Financial Business Act.

Furthermore it appears from the website that Danica Bank has a working relationship with Dansk Realkredit which offers mortgage financing.

Dansk Realkredit is not a licensed mortgage-credit institution.

The Danish FSA shall inform that neither Danica Bank nor Dansk Realkredit have the needed authorisations from the FSA, and they are not registered in the Danish FSA register over licensed banks and mortgage-credit institutions in Denmark.

The Danish FSA shall draw the attention to the fact that Danica Bank and Dansk Realkredit are not connected to the Danica group or the Danske Bank group. 

Deposits in Danica Bank are not covered by the Danish Deposit Guarantee Scheme or The Governmental Guarantee Scheme that applies for Danish banks.

At the Danish FSA’s website you can see which commercial banks, savings banks and mortgage-credit institutions that have authorisation from the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority to carry out credit institution activities in Denmark.
